Claremont Motorsports Park, located in Claremont, New Hampshire, has been in operation since 1947 when it was opened as a dirt track. Originally built by Arthur Fleury on part of his father's farmland, the facility soon came under the management of a group known as The Jalopy Association. In the 1960s, Fleury's brother Sonny took ownership of the venue. He paved the track in the 1970s, giving us the current third-mile configuration we see today. The track remained in the Fleury family under the guidance of several different family members before it was purchased by a group of investors and later sold again. The track is currently owned by Ben Bosowski and Norm Wrenn Jr. and is part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has a short, but also long history at Claremont Motorsports Park. The track was on the inaugural series schedule in 1985, and Richie Evans was the driver who earned a trip to Victory Lane. The series didn't return to Claremont until 2007, when James Civali picked up one of his four career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour triumphs. Another long hiatus followed, but in 2022, JDV Productions owner Josh Vanada brought the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour back to Claremont Motorsports Park. Eventual series champion Jon McKennedy emerged victorious in that event.
